Spin transport properties of Bi<sub><i>x</i></sub>Y<sub>3–<i>x</i></sub>Fe<sub>5</sub>O<sub>12 </sub>thin films prepared by spin coating

چکیده

Yttrium iron garnet (YIG), as a room temperature ferrimagnetic insulator with low damping and narrow ferromagnetic resonance linewidth, has been the research hotspot in spintronics because of its spin transport properties. Bi is one most common doping elements used YIG, some researches have proved that it can tune magnetic properties YIG. Previous studies Bi<sub><i>x</i></sub>Y<sub>3–<i>x</i></sub>Fe<sub>5</sub>O<sub>12</sub> thin films focused on evolutions their structures, morphologies, characteristics. Yet, effects Bi<sup>3+</sup> substitution Y<sup>3+</sup> YIG not systematically studied. The regulation by expected to provide new idea for exploration Pt/YIG system. In this work, we prepare series different ratios coating. And investigate morphology, structure films. results show does change crystal absorption film increases bandgap decreases increase ratio. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) indicates co-existence Bi<sup>2+</sup>. reflected fact magnon diffusion length Bi<i><sub>x</sub></i>Y<sub>3–<i>x</i></sub>Fe<sub>5</sub>O<sub>12</sub> significantly smaller than pure Meanwhile, find obvious Hall magnetoresistance still be detected Pt/Bi<sub><i>x</i></sub>Y<sub>3–<i>x</i></sub>Fe<sub>5</sub>O<sub>12</sub> heterostructure, amplitude largest when <i>x</i> = 0.3.
